Baden-Baden: A weekend of culinary, taste and pleasurable delights. For the 15th year running, "fine" will be taking place on the 25th -27th October 2019 in the Kurhaus, in the centre of historic Baden-Baden. In a space of over 2.000 m², gourmets, connoisseurs and individuals will find a select range of over 100 exhibitors, carefully handpicked to represent the best in the culinary, design and craft sectors.
"fine" traditionally opens on a Friday at 4 pm, offering a delightful start to the weekend. Guests can enjoy themselves shopping and browsing in a relaxed atmosphere within the beautiful premises of the iconic Kurhaus. Five different rooms featuring different themes are set up to tempt and delight the senses. Whether it is the great food hall in the Bénazet Hall, the lifestyle-themed conservatory, the round hall with a coffee lounge, pâtisserie and decorations, the conference room featuring fashion design and jewelery or the foyer showcasing winemakers from all over Europe as well as cigars and distilleries, there is something here to satisfy every indulgence. One can also enjoy a wonderful view of the action at the gallery while being pampered and nourished by the renowned restaurant Medici from Baden-Baden.More than 100 exhibitors, carefully selected by Martina & Joachim Buchholz from the connoisseur network "City and more", showcases the latest in food trends but also traditional and classic products. As seen in previous years, many exhibitors from Italy are featured at "fine", including Paolo Induti with the beloved ‘Porchetta’, a boneless suckling pig, which is usually sold out by Sunday afternoon. Salami, ham, cheese, truffles, oils, vinegars, herbs, chutneys, pasta, chocolate, coffee, wines and spirits are among some of the other offerings that is bound to delight the taste buds of visitors and satisfy the desire for honest, high-quality products.Good food calls for a good setting, which is what you’ll get at the artisanal tables of About Stein. The timbers come from old freight trains, mills or wine presses, beautifulpieces that speaks of sustainable and honest work, which becomes objects to treasure for an eternity.For a taste of the best Bitter Amaro in 2019, visit the stand of Tarbiana. Nearly 1,000 spirits were put to the test at the recent International Spirits Award 2019 and the Bitter Amaro "Il Re dei Re" from Livorno was voted number one.Football fans will know of the world-famous Andrea Pirlo – once a strategist at Juventus Turin and AC Milan. But do you know that he has now taken over the winery of his grandfather and has discovered a new passion for himself? Quickly rising to the top of the Italian wine scene, at this year’s "fine", you’ll be able to taste the five wines of this gifted football player and now winemaker.When one thinks of jewelery, precious metals like gold and silver come to mind. However, the Styrian artist Gerti Maitz makes her unique jewelery out of ceramic, placing great importance on the individuality of each wearer. This is a key value that the fashion designers at "fine" share. Be it funny, cheeky fashion from Holland or cashmere-chic and elegant, there is something to suit every style at the event.In anticipating of the fair, "fine" will also be holding pre-events at the Cineplex Cinema Baden-Baden, whetting the appetite with culinary cinema. For film lovers, Martina & Joachim Buchholz invite you to enjoy some culinary-themed films alongside delicious delicacies and beautiful wines.
